Mary McFadden vintage Necklace in fine condition. Signed FM for Franklin Mint. Mary McFadden was a successful American fashion designer. She initially worked as a PR director for Dior Paris, then became editor of South African Vogue when she married a De Beers employee. She is known to have been married five times although claimed to have been married 11 times, some of these unions being “spiritual.” She opened her fashion house in 1976 and drew on historical influences; she won many awards including the Council of Fashion Designers of America Lifetime Achievement Award in 1988; and licensed her name to many products.
