Art Nouveau Galle Cameo Glass Vase. Double layer glass with acid-etched decoration. Signed. Émile Gallé was a French artist, designer, and key figure of the Art Nouveau movement, renowned for pioneering innovations in glass and furniture design. Born in Nancy in 1846, his works combined technical mastery—like cameo and glass marquetry—with botanical motifs inspired by his studies in natural sciences. Founder of the École de Nancy, Gallé infused his creations with Symbolist poetry and social ideals, leaving a lasting influence on decorative arts until his death in 1904. This piece is signed and produced shortly after the death of the artist.
