A classical lady by Agathon Leonard, a late 19th / early 20th century bronze figurine on marble plinth. Deep brown patination in excellent condition. Signed to the reverse. Height: 19cm, 7.5″. Base width: 5cm, 2″. Foundry mark.

Agathon Leonard (1841-1923) was a successful sculptor whose well-known figurine “The Play of the Scarf”, inspired by the famous dancer Loie Fuller, was shown as a centrepiece at the 1900 World Fair.
