Art Deco Cocktail Cabinet by Epstein c1935

A fine quality Epstein Cocktail Cabinet. One of the original signature models in sycamore and burr maple. The ‘U’ base and architectural form along with the fluted burr veneered doors became a design feature on a number of other sideboards and cabinets. The plinth base was also used on many pieces.Impressive cabinet. This is one of the few Epstein pieces there is original provenance for, which we have. Most Epstein pieces are attributions by the dealers – there are virtually no archives, catalogues or records for Epstein. We do have what there is ourselves. British c 1935
