The fabulous vintage Wurlitzer, much admired for years in The Design Gallery’s showroom, is for sale. This is the One More Time model, purchased by John in the late 1980s and is fully-working. It plays 45rpm vinyls. This version is based on the Model 750 Juke Box of around 1940, which was esigned by Paul Fuller who was also responsible for the creation of other memorable juke boxes by the company including the 850, the 1013 and the 1100. Elton John sold his Wurlitzer Model 750 in his Sotheby’s sale of 6th September 1988.

We advise travelling from the South B2028 (Moor Lane which runs between Lingfield and the turning near Harwoods Land Rover garage, Edenbridge). Starborough Road runs up from Starborough Nurseries on the corner.
The Design Gallery was launched in 2002 to specialise in progressive design movements of the 19th and 20th Century. We met whilst studying at Sotheby’s Institute of Art and discovered that we shared a passion for design, especially Art Deco, Art Nouveau and the Arts & Crafts Movement.
