Description

A large Kayserzinn Art Nouveau polished pewter vase with Dragonflies to the front and reverse. The design is attributed to Hugo Leven (1874-1956) who was the artistic director for J.P. Kayser & Sohn. His work was exhibited at the 1902 Dusseldorf International Exhibition. His tray featuring a dragonfly is held in the collection of the Musee des Arts Decoratifs in Paris.

The Kayserzinn Jugendstil pewter factory was established by Engelbert Kayser who was based in Cologne. This vase bears the Kayserzinn name and model number to the base. Excellent condition. Circa 1902-1905.
