Join us for an afternoon tea and talk on THURSDAY 10th APRIL when professional speaker and client of The Design Gallery – Janie Ramsay – will be giving her talk about the jewels of The Duchess of Windsor. These special pieces were frequently in the Art Deco style and were commissioned by the Duke of Windsor from famous designers and houses such as Belperron and Cartier.
Refreshments will include a selection of teas and specially commissioned cakes. The event will commence at 2pm with a tour of The Design Gallery’s latest stock including a cabinet of jewellery inspired by the Duchess, books and the auction catalogue of the famous sale of the Duchesses’ collection. The talk will run from 3pm until 3.45pm.

The Design Gallery was launched in 2002 to specialise in progressive design movements of the 19th and 20th Century. We met whilst studying at Sotheby’s Institute of Art and discovered that we shared a passion for design, especially Art Deco, Art Nouveau and the Arts & Crafts Movement.
